GestureTek’s award-winning interactive multi-touch surface computing technology can be delivered on virtually any surface, in any shape or size, giving ‘Minority Report-style’ interaction capability to any table, bar top, counter or freestanding panel.  With multi-touch interactivity, users simply press, rotate or drag their hands along the surface to control dynamic multi-media content, access information, play games, create special effects, manipulate art and photographs or view advertising.

“GestureTek’s multi-touch solutions and other new ‘no-touch’ interactive and immersive technologies offer unlimited potential for infotainment and edutainment,” says GestureTek President Vincent John Vincent.  “Organizations can creatively showcase priceless artifacts, present complex concepts and principles and communicate naturally-occurring phenomena, while engaging visitors in a fun and entertaining touch free environment.  The technology also works well for fun and interactive guide map and way-finding systems.

Recent GestureTek Installations in Museums and Science Centers:

Telus World of Science - Calgary:  This facility is using GestureTek technology in a solar system exhibit.  Users can wave their hand to make planets bounce around the Universe.  In an insect exhibit, users can pop virtual bubbles as they passed over images of microscopic insects, resulting in the images being magnified to 100 times their actual size.

Eureka Tower Visitor Center: GestureTek won an interactive technology award for its one-of-a-kind multi-touch surface computing table, installed at the Eureka Tower “Visitor Center”.  The table features an interactive multi-touch surface that reveals different mythological, cultural and historical stories about Melbourne, Australia. Multi-touch functionality allows users to simultaneously access information by touching a variety of icons on the table’s huge display area.

A.T. Still Museum: This museum has installed GestureTek’s ‘Cell Warrior’ immersive motion-controlled virtual reality game, where players are transported into a computer-generated human body, where they become a white blood cell on a mission to destroy disease-causing bacteria.  Players use body movements to control the actions of their real-time video image in this adventure simulation.  The museum has also utilized GestureTek’s interactive surface computing table as a soothing interactive ‘tranquility pond’. http://www.gesturetek.com/gesturefx/businesscases/ATStilluniversity.php
